Trattoria Omero was founded in the late 19th century as a bakery. In 1943, it was purchased by Omero Attucci, who transformed it into a pizzicheria. He later decided to expand the business, serving a few delicious dishes, such as penne strascicate, brain, and fried chicken, which we continue to offer today, preserving the original recipes.

Following the enormous success of its simple and authentic dishes,
Omero quickly became a full-fledged trattoria. In 1979, the restaurant was purchased by Roberto Viviani, who continued to carry on the Florentine tradition of this establishment until 2013. Under Antonio Lex, then as now, it remains one of the historic establishments, appreciated and frequented by Florentines and beyond.

Many famous Italian and foreign figures from politics and entertainment have passed through here.
